The tension is mounting in the Australian jungle as another celebrity is set to be eliminated from ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! tonight. Following Ruby Wax's emotional departure on Tuesday, the spotlight now turns to who will be the next campmate to hear the dreaded words, 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'.
Bookmakers Tip Spandau Ballet Star for Exit
According to exclusive odds from Betway, Martin Kemp is the overwhelming favourite to leave the jungle in tonight's vote. The Spandau Ballet and EastEnders icon has been given short odds of 1/2 to be the next evictee. He is closely followed by actress Lisa Riley, who stands at 7/4 to be sent home. In third place is EastEnders star Shona, with odds of 8/1, putting all three at risk of missing Sunday's grand final.
The race to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle has also seen a significant shift. Rapper Aitch has now overtaken YouTuber 'Angry Ginge' as the frontrunner to win the entire series. Aitch currently has odds of 11/10, while Ginge sits at 5/2 in the betting.
Ruby Wax's Devastating Jungle Departure
The latest star to be evicted was comedian Ruby Wax, who became the fifth celebrity to leave after Alex Scott, Eddie Kadi, Vogue Williams, and Kelly Brook. Speaking in a raw and emotional interview on This Morning with hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, Wax did not hold back her feelings.
"I'm totally devastated," she confessed. "I've been ripped from my family, ripped from the womb. I belong in that jungle." She expressed profound love for her fellow campmates, describing the unique bonds formed. "You were plugged into different sides of who you needed, when you needed it... Everybody made one giant, perfect person," she reflected.
The Hardest Challenge? The Food
Beyond the emotional connections, Wax revealed that the relentless hunger and unappetising meals were among the toughest trials. She was scathing about the standard camp rations, stating, "The rice and the beans were like eating styrofoam." The coveted Star Challenges offered little comfort, often serving up gruesome delicacies.
"Who eats eel with the teeth still in it, or a crocodile with the claws?" she questioned. "It was like eating my grandmother."
With the final just days away, the competition is reaching its peak. I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV, where one more celebrity's journey will come to an end.
