Whitney, a bride on the new series of Married At First Sight UK, made a disastrous start to her marriage after forgetting her groom's name just moments after their wedding ceremony. The reality TV show, which sees strangers commit to each other in a non-legal ceremony, aired the uncomfortable scenes on Monday night.
Whitney had expressed doubts before the wedding, telling her aunt: 'What the hell am I doing? Honestly, I can't deal, what the hell am I doing?' She had hoped for a 'massive brick house of a man' but described her groom Duka as a 'shed'. During the ceremony, she interrupted the celebrant, refused to kiss Duka, and later forgot his name at the reception.
After the vows, Whitney refused to share the bed with Duka, making him sleep on the sofa instead. The couple are one of the first to take part in the new series, which airs on E4.
