Married At First Sight UK star Kaye Luke has spoken candidly about his heartbreak following his split from Davide Anica, revealing he would take his ex back 'in a heartbeat'. The couple, who were fan favourites on the E4 reality show, ended their relationship after Davide discovered Kaye on the dating app Grindr.
Speaking on the Avoiding My Anxiously Attached Boyfriend podcast, Kaye, 33, detailed the painful breakup. 'He was in a different country at the time, I think he was flying to Atlanta. So he dumped me over text, because obviously that’s all we had, and then he blocked me on everything. So there was no coming back,' he said.
Kaye admitted that trust had been irrevocably broken, but confessed he would still reunite with Davide if given the chance. 'I’m not going to pretend if he didn’t knock on the door and asked for me back now I wouldn’t be going back,' he added.
The couple had been one of the strongest in the experiment, with Davide telling Kaye during final vows: 'I have never had anyone make me feel as wanted and desired as you do.' However, Kaye's use of Grindr led to the collapse of their marriage.
In a previous statement to The Sun, Kaye explained his actions, saying he downloaded the app while in a 'dark place' and was not looking to cheat. 'I was just lost, and I made a terrible decision. Davide found me with his profile and it cost me my marriage,' he said.
