Married At First Sight bride Gia Fleur has revealed she broke into her Sydney apartment in a desperate attempt to confront on-screen husband Scott McCristal after he refused to answer her calls. The incident occurred following her dramatic exit from the show, when she issued an ultimatum for Scott to leave with her or she would return to Melbourne.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail, Gia admitted she lied about going home. 'I did lie. I said I was going home to Melbourne. I had a flight booked, I went through security… but then I waited for production to leave, walked back out, got my bags and stayed in Sydney,' she said. She hoped Scott would reach out, but he remained silent despite her repeated texts, calls and voice notes.
Determined to get answers, Gia returned to One Global Resorts, where the show is filmed, with the help of fellow bride Bec. 'I showed up with a little mission. I still had the key card to get into the rooms,' she explained. She managed to enter the apartment but Scott was at the gym. Production staff confronted her, saying 'What the hell are you doing here? Get out'. Scott made it clear he had no interest in seeing her.
A cast insider said Gia felt blindsided by the abrupt end and frustrated that Scott spoke to others but not her. 'She kept saying she just wanted a phone call,' the source said. Scott was reportedly moved to another hotel for his safety following the incident.
