In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail this Tuesday, following his televised wedding to Gia Fleur, Scott expressed complete indifference towards critics who question his underlying motives for joining the controversial series.
Dismissing Critics and Fame Claims
"People can think whatever they want," Scott stated firmly. "They don't know me. Everyone who knows me understands perfectly well that I am not here for clout or celebrity status." The groom, who has previous experience on reality television programmes, emphasised that comparing his earlier appearances on shows like Blind Date and Holey Moley to Married At First Sight is entirely missing the crucial point.
"Those shows were years ago, back in 2018. They were fun games and light entertainment," he explained. "This is completely different. This is your whole life on the line. You are investing your relationship and your precious time into another person."
A Serious Commitment and Personal Sacrifice
Scott revealed that the decision to participate in the experiment was not taken lightly, involving significant personal and professional sacrifice. "I put my business ventures on hold for a considerable period. That represents a major commitment for me to make," he disclosed. "So obviously, I am entirely serious about this process. If people choose not to believe that, I honestly don't really give a shit."
Interestingly, Scott was initially approached by producers several times before finally agreeing to join the show. "I actually said no on multiple occasions," he admitted. "But then I reflected that if I didn't take this opportunity, I might never find the right partner. It forced me to compromise and deliberately make time for someone special."

Recalling his wedding day, Scott described overwhelmingly positive emotions. "I'm still smiling when I think about it," he said. "Honestly, nothing went wrong for me from my perspective." He recounted the moment he met Gia at the altar as filled with instant spark and mutual attraction.
"The moment I turned around, I had a huge smile on my face. Our eyes locked immediately, she was happy and laughing, and the energy between us was just palpable," Scott reminisced. "The sparks were absolutely flying from that very first second." He added that the pair clicked instantly and barely stopped talking throughout the day. "We were just asking each other a thousand questions. We were vibing straight away without any awkwardness," he noted.

"For me, it was just me and my two brothers. We were chilling and relaxed," he described. "They were two completely different getting-ready experiences."
