MAFS Australia 2026: David Walks Out on Alissa at Final Vows

Married At First Sight Australia 2026 has reached its final vows, with one of the strongest couples of the season ending in dramatic fashion. David Momoh, 31, left his wife Alissa Fay, 33, stranded at the altar after reading his vows and walking away.

The breakdown followed the Grass is Greener challenge, where Alissa was accused of flirting. David said he felt betrayed and disrespected, and that his feelings changed during the final commitment ceremony. He stated: 'I finally spoke up... I wasn't being heard. You couldn't see I wasn't attacking you – I was finally standing up for myself.'

David added: 'You flirted, made inappropriate jokes and spoke poorly about me behind my back... I'm walking away because loving you shouldn't mean losing myself.' Alissa, who had reportedly planned to leave too despite being in love, was left to read her vows to an empty room, saying: 'David, you are everything I wanted and more... standing here today I can only be honest.'

In another ceremony, Bec Zacharia, 35, was blindsided when her British husband Danny Hewitt, 34, dumped her at the altar. Bec declared her love, calling him 'my best friend, my safe space,' but Danny walked out after a 'horrific' speech.
