MAFS Australia's Chris Nield Transforms Life After Controversial Stint

Chris Nield, who appeared on Married At First Sight Australia 2026, has undergone a significant lifestyle transformation following his brief and controversial time on the show. Despite being initially sceptical about the experiment, Chris quickly bonded with his bride Brook Crompton, but their relationship soured due to his attitude, leading to an early exit after just three weeks.

Since leaving the show in August 2025, Chris has focused on fitness, regularly posting about competitions and early morning training sessions on Instagram. He has also relocated from Melbourne to the Gold Coast in Queensland, securing a new apartment and a job as a builder with a close friend.

Chris remains single and has reportedly joined dating apps in search of a girlfriend. He has been self-deprecating about aspects of his appearance, such as his height and fake tan, which were topics of discussion during the show.

Reflecting on his departure, Chris clarified that he and Brook decided to leave together, contradicting the show's portrayal that she abandoned him. He told the Daily Mail: 'We’d already decided. We told them in the morning that we were done. We were leaving.' He added that he refused to let Brook be framed as abandoning him.

Brook has since apologised for her behaviour and announced her engagement and pregnancy. Chris, meanwhile, has expressed growth from the experience and is moving forward positively.
