Love Island Season 13 fans have delivered a brutal verdict on Lorenzo Alessi and Julia Majchrzak just days before the finale, with many saying the couple lacks chemistry and doesn't deserve to win the £50,000 prize.
Fan poll ranks them second
Original islander Lorenzo has been a crowd favourite since week one, but supporters are not convinced he should win. He is currently partnered with Casa Amor bombshell Julia Majchrzak, who has faced controversy since arriving at the main villa. Julia initially clashed with former Islander Lola Deal after Lola caught her chatting up her boyfriend during Casa Amor.
A Reddit poll selecting this year's champions has attracted over 1,900 responses. Lorenzo and Julia sit in second position with slightly more than 600 votes, while Jasmine Muller and Kavan Murphy claimed the most votes.
Fans question their chemistry
Despite ranking in the top three, the comments section has exploded with outrage. One fan asked: "Those who voted for Lorenzo and Julia.... what made y'all choose them? Do y'all genuinely see them as being in love or as a strong couple? I'm genuinely curious." Another agreed: "I have the same question. I'm a bit behind bc I live in the USA so I'm like I must be missing something."
Others were more critical. "With all due respect are the people voting lorenzo and Julia okay? He literally even said this episode he's FAR from serious unlike the others when chatting with Aiden and Samraj," one viewer said. Another added: "Them plus Aiden and Priya are the weakest couples. It doesn't feel fair for them to win when other couples are in love and have genuinely had a journey."
Supporters defend the pair
Some viewers have rallied behind the couple. One fan argued: "I think Lorenzo and Julia come across a lot more authentic than couples saying I love you just days before the finale. A lot of people obviously agree. Plus literally no couple in there is lasting more than a few months lol." Another said: "This episode pretty much just confirmed Julia and Lorenzo win," and a third added: "Lorenzo and Julia brought the most entertainment."
Love Island airs Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
