Love Island is set for more drama as Harry faces Helena's parents and a couples' challenge sparks a bitter feud. In Monday's episode, the islanders reunited with their families for the 'Meet the Family' segment, which brought emotional moments and harsh truths.
Helena's parents, Jasmine and Phil, confronted Harry after Helena revealed he had 'broken my heart'. Phil asked Helena if her connection with Harry was 'the real deal', to which she replied it was 'so genuine and so real' from her end. Her mother comforted her, calling her 'a winner', but Helena retorted: 'He's not the prize.'
Harry later approached Helena's family and apologised for his behaviour towards their daughter. However, tensions escalated during the 'couple goals' challenge, hosted by Meg and Dejon. When asked which couple they wouldn't want to go on a city break with, Blu and Helena singled out Harry and Shakira, with Blu remarking: 'Harry might want to wife swap again.'
Harry took offence, telling Blu: 'You're better than that.' The atmosphere worsened when Harry and Shakira labelled Blu and Helena as the 'most fake couple', prompting Helena to retort: 'That's a cop out mate.' Harry confronted Blu, accusing him of being 'extremely fake' given their earlier conversation.
Shakira also expressed frustration, stating 'the gloves are off now' after Meg and Dejon chose her and Harry. Meg explained she felt hurt by Shakira's previous comments. The episode promises further uncomfortable exchanges as the remaining islanders navigate the fallout.
