Lisa Riley's stern I'm A Celebrity advice to future stars

Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has issued a warning to anyone preparing to take part in I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! later this year. The soap star, 50, was part of last year's line-up alongside Jack Osbourne, Angry Ginge, Aitch, Martin Kemp and others. Lisa remained in the jungle for the majority of the competition, finishing in 5th place.

Fish smell and weight loss challenges

Reflecting on her time on the show at the TRIC Awards in June, Lisa opened up about what she found most challenging about the experience. She said: "The fish smell. Smelling like a fish market and having no clothes to get changed into. It blows my mind that I spent 22 out of 23 sleeps in a jungle covered in rats and snakes."

Having lost a staggering 21 pounds in just three weeks, Lisa credited the daily cardio the celebrities were forced to undertake, joking that washing pots and pans was even harder than a Zumba class.

'Do the dunny' advice

She also urged anyone who takes part in the series to put themselves down for 'dunny duty' if they have the choice, describing it as the "easiest job" in camp. The TV star remarked: "Whoever is going in the jungle this year, do the dunny! It's the easiest job! It's a lump of s**t that you get rid of in literally one minute. Don't wash up! It's hell. It's miles away. It's just a no. Bring on the dunny all the time."

Emmerdale future and Bradley Johnson exit reports

Earlier this year, it was reported that Bradley Johnson had been axed from Emmerdale after playing Vinny Dingle for more than seven years. Vinny is the adoptive son of Mandy Dingle, played by Lisa on and off since 1995. Addressing reports of his upcoming exit, Lisa admitted she could not "confirm nor deny" whether he is leaving the soap.

She told the Daily Express: "That's not confirmed. I don't know where that's come from! I can't confirm nor deny. He's my dream. We are like family. We're so close. You can see how much we laugh. We're a family at Emmerdale and we are really happy."

Although fans could be losing a fan-favourite member of the Dingle family, they don't need to be worried as Lisa confirmed she has signed a deal to play Mandy for a "very long time". She declared: "But whatever happens... I could be going! I'm not. I'm signed for a very long time."
