Katie Price and Kerry Katona join Celebrity Handcuffed

Katie Price and Kerry Katona have been confirmed for new Channel 4 programme Celebrity Handcuffed. The two friends join a celebrity cast for the first star-studded spin-off of the reality series, which first aired this year. Over two million viewers tuned in to the first episode of the civilian version of the programme.

This time, a range of familiar faces will take part in the social experiment series, including a politician, a football legend and the son of a princess. The show will see pairs of celebrities with completely opposed opinions, beliefs, lifestyles, and bad habits, handcuffed together 24/7 in the ultimate test of survival.

Taking part this year are former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona, DJ Fat Tony and former glamour model Katie Price. See below for the full list of celebrity pairings.

What is Celebrity Handcuffed?

The social experiment programme aired earlier this year and is set to return for a second series, as well as a celebrity spin-off. The show sees two people handcuffed together, who have largely different opinions on a range of topics.

The contestants will be handcuffed together for a long period of time, doing everything just inches apart. They can uncuff at any time, but if they do, they'll be out of the running for the £100,000 cash prize. The last pair standing will win the full prize pot.

The first series was a huge streaming success, with over two million views of episode one alone.

Commissioning editor's view

Tim Hancock, Channel 4 commissioning editor said: “Celebrity Handcuffed takes a format audiences couldn’t stop talking about and supercharges it with some truly unexpected pairings. Just like the civilian series, the celebrity version will be laugh-out-loud funny, gloriously awkward and full of surprises, and will capture something bigger about modern Britain: even when we seem to disagree on almost everything, we might have more in common than we think.”

Celebrity Handcuffed will air on Channel 4.
