James Blunt has given fans a glimpse of his packing style for Celebrity Traitors, stripping down to tiny swim trunks in a behind-the-scenes video released by the BBC. The singer, 52, was seen wearing nothing but blue trunks decorated with rubber ducks and swimming goggles as he packed for his stay in the Scottish castle.
Packing for the Castle
The video showed several celebrities preparing to join the show. Blunt packed a wide array of suits and a £350 Missoni dressing gown, but his choice of swimwear drew the most attention. He also modelled a tracksuit and his old British Army military uniform.
Julie Hesmondhalgh, 56, took a different approach to packing. Speaking to the camera, she said: "It's about eleven hours before I get picked up to start the journey to the iconic castle. I already feel quite challenged by this packing task. There are so many different elements. The running around, exercising. The dinner parties. The funerals."
Star-Studded Cast
She also made room for a "little paint set", a "writing pad" and some "HRT bum patches" among her clothing. Michael Sheen was next to pack, doing so in a hoodie reminiscent of the iconic Traitors cloak. He said: "The time has come. The bags are packed. The castle calls."
James, Julie and Michael are among 21 famous faces taking part in the second series. The full cast includes Amol Rajan, Bella Ramsey, James Acaster, Jerry Hall, Joanne McNally, Joe Lycett, King Kenny, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Maya Jama, Miranda Hart, Myha'la, Professor Hannah Fry, Richard E. Grant, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Ross Kemp, Sebastian Croft and Sharon Rooney.
Ross Kemp's Motivation
EastEnders star Ross Kemp said he was taking part to show people there was more to him than playing a tough guy. "I think if I'm able to stay or survive for a period of time, it would give people an opportunity to see that I'm not just Grant Mitchell or a man that goes around the world confronting people with guns," he said. "I think obviously there will be people that will only know me as Grant, and then people may have seen the documentaries, which are often quite brutal. I think people probably think that I don’t have any kind of sense of humour whatsoever, which hopefully will come out."
The show begins at 8PM on 1 October on BBC One, airing twice a week on Thursdays and Fridays at the same time. It follows a successful first series that saw traitor Alan Carr take the victory.
