ITV has confirmed the official start date for the new series of Big Brother. The hit reality series will arrive on screen with a fresh batch of contestants on Sunday, September 13. It will air at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
Hosts and house format
Hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best, Big Brother will see a new group of strangers move into the iconic Big Brother house. Reimagined as a house of surprises, this year will keep housemates on their toes with unexpected twists and game-changing moments around every corner.
Teasing what fans can expect from the new series, ITV said: "Viewers can expect ambitious tasks, high-stakes nominations and dramatic live evictions as the Housemates face challenges at every turn in their bid to outlast their rivals.
"Who will be crowned this year's winner and take home a life-changing cash prize? Who wins? You decide."
Spin-off and streaming details
This year, Big Brother: The Group Chat will air Sunday to Thursday nights straight after the main show. The spin-off will give fans even more of the action, bringing them closer to the personalities, dynamics and relationships at the heart of the series.
Hosted by Kate Lawler and GK Barry, the show will feature exclusive interviews with evicted housemates, celebrity fans and special guests. Big Brother: The Group Chat will air on ITV2, ITVX and YouTube, with episodes also available across major podcast platforms.

The Big Brother brand has received over 157 million streams on ITVX. Big Brother is produced by Initial (part of Banijay UK) for ITV2 and ITVX. The winner of Big Brother will receive a cash prize of £100,000.
Since its launch in 2000, the show has gone on to have spin-offs including Celebrity Big Brother, as well as a US version of the show. Big Brother airs Sunday, September 13 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
