Jungle Campmates Overwhelmed by Letters From Home
Sunday night's episode of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! delivered an emotional punch as several campmates received cherished letters from their loved ones back home. The highly anticipated moment was determined by an earlier challenge, leaving one celebrity empty-handed and fighting back disappointment.
The Challenge That Decided Everything
In a tense 'Blender Defender' challenge, the celebrities were split into groups and quizzed about their fellow campmates. The stakes were incredibly high. For every incorrect answer, a precious letter from home was fed into a blender and destroyed. Jack Osbourne was the only contestant who missed out on receiving a message, a bitter blow for the media personality.
A Heartfelt Message for Vogue
The most poignant moment unfolded when Shona McGarty read a letter to Vogue Williams from her husband, Spencer Matthews. The former Made In Chelsea star is currently undertaking a monumental physical challenge: seven full iron triathlons across seven continents in just 21 days. This incredible endeavour means he has been unable to travel to Australia to greet Vogue upon her expected exit from the jungle this week.
Shona read Spencer's touching words aloud: 'My darling Vogue, the kids and I are so unbelievably proud of you. Watching you take on the jungle with courage, humour and heart, fills us with admiration.' The letter continued, 'You've always had this incredible ability to light up any room you walk into and we're delighted seeing you do the same out there. Keep being you, we're all behind you cheering you on.' He signed off with, 'We all adore you, Spenner.'
A visibly emotional Vogue, 37, put her head in her hands and wept as she heard her husband's words. Later, at the Bush Telegraph, she let out a big sigh and confessed, 'I just really miss my kids and miss my husband and everybody at home, so I'm just so happy that they got the letter.' Vogue and Spencer share three young children: Theodore, six, Gigi, five, and Otto, three.
With eliminations now underway, it has been confirmed that Vogue's manager, Louisa McDonald, has arrived in Australia to support her, as Spencer continues his triathlon mission, with the final leg taking place in Antarctica.
Another Campmate Says Goodbye
Elsewhere in the episode, the public vote saw another celebrity leave the jungle. Comedian and presenter Eddie Kadi became the second contestant to be eliminated after finding himself in the bottom two alongside Vogue Williams. Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announced that the 42-year-old had received the fewest votes from the public.
The decision left many fans disappointed, with some taking to social media to claim that Eddie was one of the most 'underrated' campmates and that others should have been voted out instead.
I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues Monday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
