Drama erupted in the I'm A Celebrity camp on Monday night as two celebrities faced the consequences for secretly smuggling banned items into the jungle.
The Rule Break Revealed
As the campmates eagerly awaited their dinner drop, their meal failed to arrive. Instead, a single laminate descended, delivering a stark message. Due to contraband being smuggled into camp, the group would lose one star from their dinner, a meal that rapper Aitch had worked hard to win during a trial earlier that day.
The announcement caused an immediate stir, with the innocent celebrities demanding to know who was responsible. An amnesty was then declared, offering the rule-breakers a chance to come forward without further punishment to the camp.
The Culprits Confess
In a moment of high tension, Shona McGarty was the first to stand, heading to the dunny to retrieve her illicit item. She was quickly followed by Alex Scott, who went to fetch her bag. The banned items were then revealed to the entire camp.
Shona had smuggled in an air freshener for the toilet area, while former footballer Alex confessed to bringing in salt and pepper sachets. Alex admitted she only had one sachet left, as the others had been used on the camp's dinners throughout the week.
Campmate Reactions and Fallout
While some campmates mocked the situation, others were less impressed. Aitch expressed his disappointment, noting he had "worked hard" to secure 11 stars. Martin Kemp was baffled by the sheer size of the air freshener Shona had managed to sneak in.
Jack Osbourne quipped, "There is always one," but the most pointed reaction came from Kelly Brook. An unimpressed Kelly fumed, "I can't believe this. I thought we were a team."
The rule-breaking had been teased by hosts Ant and Dec the previous day, confirming Alex's involvement. On the spin-off show I'm A Celebrity: Unpacked, guest Jill Scott said she was surprised by Alex's actions, as she expected her to follow the rules.
This incident echoes a similar controversy from the previous year, where contestants smuggled in tea bags, which also resulted in a punishment for the camp.
I'm A Celebrity 2025 continues nightly at 9PM on ITV1 and ITVX.
