I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! stars Shona McGarty and Aitch have addressed speculation about a potential romance, insisting they are just friends. The rapper had previously told winner Ginge he had a 'soft spot' for the former EastEnders actress, sparking rumours.
Speaking on Lorraine, Shona dismissed the gossip, saying: 'I mean, I'm like over 10 years older than him, and also honestly the rumours are rubbish. He is like my little brother, I was like his older sister, and we just had the same energy level, we were just hyper and silly, and that's why we got on.'
Aitch echoed her sentiments in an interview with The Sun, stating: 'Shona's just a cool person. I feel like me and Shona are just cut from the same cloth in a way. We just have the same sense of humour.' He added that their bond was based on shared interests in music, as Shona plans to pursue a singing career after the show.
The rapper also suggested that his age made him a target for romance rumours, joking: 'No one's going to say that she had a romance with Martin, because Martin's married. So unfortunately I'm the next option.'
Last night's final saw streamer Angry Ginge crowned King of the Jungle, with Shona finishing third. Aitch missed out on the final three, but said he was 'absolutely over the moon' for his fellow campmates.
