Former Lioness Jill Scott has been crowned Queen of the Jungle after winning the latest series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! The 35-year-old football star triumphed over politician Matt Hancock, 44, and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner, 23, in Sunday's grand final, following 23 days in the Australian camp.
After receiving the floral crown from former rugby star Mike Tindall, an emotional Scott said: 'I can't believe it. I think I'm going to owe my grandma a lot of money for the 12 million votes! I don't think there should be one winner, we're all winners.' She was reunited with her fiancée Shelly Unitt on the bridge, embracing amid confetti after more than a month apart.
Scott credited her sporting background for her success in the jungle, saying: 'It's what you learn through sport, winning, losing, hard work being a good person... having all those playing for incredible teams equipped me well for the jungle.' She added that she tried to tone down her behaviour initially, mindful that her family was watching on ITV.
Despite being the only woman left in camp for eight days, Scott said she never felt the need to keep her male campmates in check. 'They were so welcoming. I still had to get the water, the logs, clean out the dunny. No, I never felt like that,' she told hosts Ant and Dec.
Scott's victory caps a remarkable year, having also been part of the England women's team that won the European Championship in August, defeating Germany in the final to secure the nation's first major trophy since 1966.
