The highly anticipated new series of I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! kicked off with an explosive entrance show on Sunday night, marking the beginning of what promises to be another dramatic season in the Australian jungle.
Celebrity Lineup Faces Jungle Challenge
Ten famous faces have abandoned their luxury lifestyles to confront creepy crawlies and jungle life, with this year's contestants including television personalities Ruby Wax, Martin Kemp, Kelly Brook, rapper Aitch, sports presenter Alex Scott, social media star Angry Ginge, former EastEnders actress Shona McGarty, comedian Eddie Kadi, Emmerdale's Lisa Riley and Jack Osbourne, son of rock legends Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.
The 40-year-old media personality quickly established himself as a strong contender for camp leader, demonstrating both competitive spirit and practical skills that would prove invaluable in the jungle environment.
High-Flying Start and Nerve-Shredding Challenge
The premiere episode divided the celebrities into two groups, with Aitch, Kelly, Eddie, Shona and Martin taking to the skies for a dramatic skydiving entrance. Meanwhile, Ruby, Lisa, Angry Ginge, Alex and Jack gathered at a luxury villa where they faced their first fears head-on.
Both teams competed for coveted seats in the luxurious Getaway car, with the villa group confronting one of the show's classic nerve-shredding trials. They had to place their heads in boxes filled with snakes while their hands explored containers teeming with green ants, all while attempting to unscrew their Getaway car key fobs.
Jack Osbourne demonstrated immediate focus and determination, becoming the first to successfully complete the challenge. "Get me out!" he exclaimed upon finishing, showing both relief and triumph.
Winners and Losers Face Different Fates
With one seat remaining, Alex Scott and Angry Ginge battled neck and neck, while veteran comedian Ruby Wax appeared to take a more relaxed approach that left hosts Ant and Dec questioning if she'd fallen asleep during the challenge.
"Is she dozing? Is Ruby still awake? Ruby, are you still with us?!" they joked from the sidelines. The bemused comedian later revealed she couldn't determine which way to unscrew the wing nuts and complained that "an Ant is up my nose."
Ultimately, Angry Ginge claimed victory, joining Jack Osbourne in the Getaway car where they met fellow winners Aitch and Eddie, who had triumphed in the skydiving challenge. The four celebrated with cheers and drinks as they began their luxurious journey to camp, anticipating steak dinner and the most comfortable beds.
Meanwhile, the losing celebrities - Alex, Lisa, Ruby, Kelly, Martin and Shona - faced the dreaded Cockie van and a terrifying journey into the jungle proper.
Camp Life Begins with Culinary Skills
The first arrivals to the 2025 jungle camp wasted no time settling in, with Jack and Eddie immediately attempting to start the campfire. Their efforts prompted joking from Aitch, who remarked: "Hey lads, I'm not being funny, how've we not got this started yet?! It's nearly the end of the episode! Match of the Day starts in a minute!"
Once the fire was successfully lit, Jack showcased his culinary expertise by preparing a delicious steak dinner with mushrooms and avocado. He proudly referenced his recent television experience, telling his campmates: "Just so everyone knows, second place on Cooking With The Stars this year."
In his Bush Telegraph confession, Jack revealed his cooking background stemmed from family life: "I don't mind cooking, you know I have a really big family and so I'm used to people kind of nagging me!"
The four winning celebrities enjoyed their premium meal together, with Eddie emotionally admitting: "I couldn't have started this experience with a better set of guys, I've got a family in here already."
Dramatic Reunion After Critter-Filled Challenge
While the winners enjoyed steak, the remaining six celebrities faced a very different dining experience after their terrifying journey in the Cockie van. Locked inside by driver Kiosk Kev, they had to win their dinner by unlocking six keys from a grate above their heads while critters dropped onto them.
The insects proved particularly intrusive, with Alex squealing "They're all down my bloody bra!", Lisa getting one in her mouth, and Shona exclaiming "It's in my pants!" Kelly added to the chorus of complaints, screaming "Oh my god, they're biting my tits!" while Ruby philosophically noted "Every crevice, every crevice has been filled."
Working together despite the discomfort, the team successfully unlocked all six boxes, earning a full house of meals for camp. Their reward? Emu neck, which received mixed reviews from the hungry celebrities.
An impressed Martin declared "That is good!" while a less enthusiastic Ruby described it as "repulsive," adding "I think for those six stars we should've had a burger and not one of those penis things..." Lisa similarly expressed her distaste, commenting "I won't be having that. They look like three phallic things!"
The dramatic launch episode set the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable series of I'm A Celebrity 2025, with alliances already forming and challenges testing the celebrities from the very beginning.
