ITV has announced a major rule change for the upcoming 25th series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, which launches on Sunday 16th November. The new rule prevents any single contestant from being voted by the public to take part in more than two Bushtucker trials in a row.
The change comes after previous series saw celebrities like Dean McCullough and Matt Hancock repeatedly voted for trials, with McCullough undertaking six consecutive challenges last year. Under the new format, after a campmate has been voted for two trials in succession, they cannot be selected for the next day's trial, ensuring a fairer distribution of opportunities.
An ITV spokesperson explained: 'Show bosses are keen to give all campmates the opportunity to shine in Bushtucker Trials this year. This new rule means the responsibility for winning food is shared among more of the campmates, and viewers get a chance to get to know them more.'
The 2025 lineup includes Ruby Wax, Lisa Riley, Jack Osbourne, Martin Kemp, Kelly Brook, Eddie Kadi, Alex Scott, Angry Ginge (Morgan Burtwistle), Aitch, and Shona McGarty. The series will air on ITV1 and ITVX.
