Grace Dent has declared that the upcoming series of Celebrity MasterChef will be the funniest one yet. The 52-year-old judge appeared on ITV's This Morning on Monday, August 17, to talk about the 21st season and share highlights from the show.
Grace Dent's Bold Claim on This Morning
Speaking to presenters Craig Doyle and Angela Scanlon, Dent agreed with a statement that the series is the funniest ever. She said: "It's the funniest one ever. Even if you only watch one, watch the first one when Joe Pasquale makes his Frankenstein pie."
Celebrity MasterChef returns to screens this week with a new group of famous faces competing for the title. Dent will host alongside chef Giorgio Locatelli, who joined the British version after working on MasterChef Italia.
New Judges and Contestants
Dent, originally from Cumbria, said she has made Locatelli laugh and joked that her northern accent has started to influence his Italian one. The contestants this year include Jason Mohammad, Joe Pasquale, Jay McGuinness, Emily Campbell, Shakira Khan, Donna Preston, Emily Steel, Eric Underwood, Nitin Ganatra, and Tom Simons.
The celebrities will compete in three heats, with four from each heat advancing to the quarter-finals. Guest judges Paddy McGuinness, Zoe Ball, and Morgan Burtwistle will set bespoke challenges.
Celebrity MasterChef returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Tuesday, August 18.
