Fans spot blunder in Meghan Markle's new As Ever video

Royal fans were quick to spot an error in Meghan Markle's latest update on social media. The Duchess of Sussex shared a new photograph on her brand, As Ever's Instagram account, teasing “new surprises” in the future.

Meghan was shown in a different kitchen than her usual one in Montecito, cooking in a pot over a gas stove. She was dressed in a black outfit and a black and white checked apron. However, royal fans were quick to notice that the stove was turned off.

Fans react to the stove blunder

One user wrote on X: “I’m just highly annoyed at how s***** her and that team are. If you’re gonna pretend as if you’re cooking on a gas range. Do at least two smart things. One make sure it’s actually turned on, the knobs aren’t even turned and two at least make it look like there’s flames coming out underneath that pan. Tell us you don’t cook without telling us you don’t cook.”

Another one added: “Sometimes I wonder if she does this to deliberately stoke outrage because surely nobody is that s*****?” A third one agreed: “That’s the thing it’s one thing to put this on your personal page. This is the company page.”

More criticism from followers

A fourth user opined: “Her lack of attention to detail couldn’t be written. She personally provides all of the ammunition needed to mock her until the end of time.” A fifth user said: “[Meghan Markle] hasn’t even got the gas knobs switched on.” A sixth one added: “She has the worst associate producers/continuity producers. How do they miss this basic stuff?”

It comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted enjoying a date night in Oxfordshire last Thursday. Harry and Meghan, who moved back to the UK in August, were pictured holding hands as they visited a Cotswolds pub called The Falkland Arms.
