Emmerdale star Olivia Bromley has responded to speculation that her character Dawn Taylor is leaving the ITV soap, telling fans to keep watching as a dramatic week of episodes approaches.
Appearing on Monday's (August 24) edition of This Morning with hosts Rylan Clark and Josie Gibson, the actress gave a two-word answer when asked about rumours that Dawn might not survive past Sunday night.
Rylan confronts Bromley over exit rumours
Rylan directly addressed the speculation, telling Olivia: "There's been a lot of rumours flying around that Dawn might not see it past Sunday night."
However, the actress remained tight-lipped about what lies ahead for her character. "I can't possibly tell you anything," she said. "All I'd say is, keep watching. It's going to be dramatic. Sorry, I can't give you any other spoilers."
Fireworks, twists and turns promised
Rylan then turned to the highly-anticipated wedding storyline, which has already been previewed as featuring major stunts, effects and explosions.
"We know there's going to be stunts. We know there are going to be effects, explosions," he said. "Now, I know you've got to be so careful about what you say, so I'm not going to be too leading, but can we expect fireworks this week?"
Olivia offered a revealing response: "You can."
She went on to say that audiences can expect "huge twists" and "turns" throughout the week, with the drama continuing right through to Sunday.
"Yeah, fireworks, you can expect huge twists, turns," Olivia explained. "I think it's going to go on for a full week, and actually, the final episode is on the Sunday. So just to let everyone know, we don't usually have a Sunday episode, but it's on the bank holiday Sunday."
Dawn, Joe and Billy put through the ringer
The actress hinted that the soap's most devoted fans should brace themselves for surprises, maintaining that the events on screen will be anything but predictable.
"There's going to be so many twists," she continued. "I would just say the audience won't expect what's going to happen and every single day, something new happens."
And it won't solely be Dawn facing the consequences. Olivia added: "I mean, Dawn's put through the ringer, Joe's put through the ringer and Billy's put through the ringer. It's going to be exciting."
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX, while Emmerdale airs weekday nights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
