Emmerdale's latest episode saw the reveal that another car caused Jimmy King to crash, leading to his death on the ITV soap, with hints pointing to his niece Gabby Thomas. However, fans are not convinced and instead believe a different character is responsible for Jimmy's demise.
Jimmy's fatal crash and police discovery
Jimmy was killed off this week in a horror crash, which saw his car speed into a marquee. Joe Tate and Dawn Taylor were injured but managed to get out alive, while Jimmy was not so lucky. Nicola King was with her husband in his final moments before he passed away.
Friday's episode saw the police investigating what happened, and they made a shocking discovery. A second pair of car tracks were found in the road, and police officers were able to establish what might have happened to him. It is their belief that Jimmy was driven off the road and forced to swerve something, possibly another car.
Gabby Thomas hinted as the culprit
DS Thea Ramsden suggested they needed to find out who he was avoiding, thinking this is what caused him to speed into the marquee. The episode massively hinted it was his niece Gabby, who was seen hanging around the crash site and looked like she was hiding something. Just as Kim Tate told Ramsden that if someone else was to blame they needed to answer for Jimmy's death, the camera zoomed right in on a troubled Gabby.
Fans blame Caleb Miligan
However, fans are not convinced she is the one to blame - in fact, they think it's Caleb Miligan's fault after his recent scheming and selling knockoff car parts. They believe Jimmy's car might have stopped working properly due to these dodgy parts, suggesting Caleb killed him.
Taking to social media, one fan predicted: "Another theory on @emmerdale is it going to be that Jimmy’s car was faulty due to having dodgy car parts from Caleb?" Another said: "I bet Caleb fiddled with the breaks that’s why Jimmy’s car crashed into that tent that suddenly." A viewer questioned: "Maybe Jimmy's dodgy car parts bought from Caleb caused the crash???" "I was thinking the same thing." Others thought the scene with Gabby was a clue that she was actually the one to blame, not Caleb, with one fan posting: "I reckon she knows something." as another said: "Maybe she had something to do with Jimmy's car crashing."
