Emmerdale has teased an exit for Billy Fletcher and Dawn Taylor, with a Monday episode scene fuelling speculation. However, comments from the cast may give away whether the pair have actually left.
Exit plot and wedding plans
Recent scenes confirmed the couple, played by Olivia Bromley and Jay Kontzle, were planning to flee the village and Joe Tate for good. As pregnant Dawn's wedding to Joe approached, the couple plotted to escape abroad with the kids.
A scene airing in Monday's episode heavily hints at what is ahead, confirming whether Dawn and Billy go ahead with their plan. The Mirror has chosen not to give this detail away, but cast members told the Mirror something that could confirm the characters' fates.

Olivia told the Mirror there would be stunts, and Jay also teased tragedy, with the week only just beginning. These hints suggest that, for now at least, Billy and Dawn are not leaving yet.

Olivia also teased fans would see Dawn in her wedding dress, saying it was chosen for filming the action-packed week. She spoke of wearing the outfit in the heatwave, and promo images show her in the dress. Since this has not been seen yet, and there has been little action, tragedy, or a stunt, it is surely not over.
Spoiler images for episodes later this week show a crowd of people shocked when an incident occurs. The group are horrified and rush to the scene, before police investigate, according to released spoilers and images. Billy appears in the images, placing him back in the village with the group, and Dawn will be in her wedding dress, meaning she will also be back.
Future of the characters
This does not rule out an exit for the characters, with reports suggesting Olivia is leaving the show this year after eight years. So while fans should not expect the exit to air based on Monday's episode, Billy and Dawn may still have a chance of happiness by the end of the week.
