Emmerdale fans think Graham adopted baby Tate

Emmerdale viewers believe they have worked out who adopted baby Tate following Joe Tate's (Ned Porteous) decision to put his son up for adoption last week. After Dawn Taylor's death, Joe struggled to bond with the baby and chose to have him adopted, despite Kim Tate's (Claire King) efforts to change his mind.

Kim's final goodbye

Kim tried everything to convince Joe to reconsider, even recruiting Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) to talk sense into him. In recent scenes, Joe brought the baby home, giving Kim hope he had changed his mind. However, Joe revealed he had only brought the baby back to Home Farm so Kim could say goodbye before Graham took him to his new family.

Fan theories on Reddit and X

With Graham deciding to leave that same day, fans have theorised that baby Tate was actually adopted by Graham. On Reddit, one fan said: '£100 on Graham is secretly raising the baby somewhere, right up until Joe changes his mind, and then they'll return.'

'Thought this as soon as I heard Graham was leaving with the baby.. itll be christmas time it happens,' another replied. On X/Twitter, fans shared similar theories, with one writing: 'Graham will definitely bring the baby up.. Why else would he be leaving on the same day 🤔😉😉😃🍼🍼' Another added: 'Graham is clearly going to look after the baby. He won't give it to an unknown person.'

'Oh yes, Graham is 100% going into hiding with that kid until Joe changes his mind,' a third commented on Reddit. Fans argue that Graham wouldn't simply give the baby away, suggesting he could return in a few months with baby Tate in tow, leaving questions over how Joe would react.
