Emmerdale fans are predicting that Caleb and Ruby Miligan's son Nicky could make a dramatic return to the village to expose Sadie King's scheming. Viewers are convinced the character could be brought back as Sadie (Patsy Kensit) plots to destroy the Miligans' marriage.
Sadie made her return to the village last month following news of her ex Jimmy King's (Nick Miles) death. Viewers will remember he drove his car into a marquee during Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and Dawn Taylor's (Olivia Bromley) wedding ceremony. Yet, to the astonishment of everyone - particularly Jimmy's wife Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) - Sadie alleged that Jimmy had been leading a double life.
Sadie's lies exposed
She claimed they had been in a romantic relationship for the previous three years. Subsequently, it emerged that Sadie had been fabricating the story in an attempt to secure money Jimmy had supposedly left behind. Since that revelation, the reality of Sadie's dishonesty and manipulation has been exposed.
Nevertheless, Sadie has recently shifted her focus towards Caleb (William Ash) and Ruby (Beth Cordingly) Miligan, spurred on by Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) who seeks vengeance against his uncle Caleb, reports the Daily Star. While attempting to entice Caleb, Sadie has developed a friendship with Ruby, who remains oblivious to Sadie's hidden agenda of sabotaging their marriage.
Fans call for Nicky's comeback
During Thursday's episode (October 15), Sadie's former partner Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) grew suspicious when Sadie made clear her intention to remain in the village. Subsequently, he cautioned Caleb that Sadie would ruin his life if he kept her close, though Caleb maintained he was too clever to fall for her schemes.
With further drama on the horizon, fans believe the soap could resurrect a former character to bring Sadie down. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, viewers have tipped Caleb and Ruby's son Nicky (Lewis Cope) as the one to do it.
"They need to get Nicky back soon," said one viewer, while another added: "Maybe he'll come back to stop Sadie." A third fan echoed the sentiment, commenting: "Yeah I miss him, it's a shame he's not been back since." A fourth chipped in: "Got a feeling he'll be back soon."
Nicky's history in the village
Long-time followers of the show will recall that Nicky first appeared on the soap in 2022, going on to feature in several major storylines - from coming out as gay to being involved in a terrifying car crash. He subsequently departed the village in 2024 alongside boyfriend Suni Sharma.
As for the actor behind the role, Lewis went on to compete on Strictly Come Dancing in 2025, making it all the way to the final alongside professional partner Katya Jones. Emmerdale airs Monday to Friday at 8:00pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
