David Platt is ordered to end his marriage to Shona in a new Coronation Street spoiler video, as Jodie Ramsey's twisted plan reaches its climax. The gun Jodie has been hiding is set to go off this week, leaving viewers wondering who will be shot.
Jodie's plan falls into place
With Shona out of the way, Jodie is busy putting the final pieces of her plan into place. As David rants about Shona, he ends up admitting that he's thought a lot about the kiss he shared with Jodie, and has struggled to navigate what that could mean.
With apparent confirmation that David wants to be with her, Jodie tells him that she's wanted them to be together since the moment they met. Jodie tells David that Shona shouldn't get in the way of their happiness – but what will David say next?
Bethany forced to stay quiet
Earlier this week, Bethany Platt realised that Jodie had been playing a recording of baby Harper crying just to mess with Shona's mind. She threatened to expose Jodie's secret, but found herself trapped when Jodie told Bethany that she'd happily reveal her own secret about sleeping with Kit Green if she did something.
Backed into a corner, Bethany was forced to stay quiet, but she couldn't bite her tongue in today's episode as she watched Lily Platt get framed by Jodie. At Shona's birthday party, Jodie nicked Lily's phone and put the sound of Harper's cries on the device. Once it played through the Bistro speakers, Shona assumed that Lily had orchestrated the nasty plot.
Shona heads to a hotel
Shona refused to stay in the Platt household and headed to a hotel room for the night. Unable to watch Jodie get away with her wicked ways, Bethany headed to see Shona and prepared to reveal some important information.
Jodie Ramsey has loved watching Shona Platt's world fall apart this week. The character believes she is entitled to the life her sister is living, and has been busy destroying Shona in the hope she will leave David Platt.
'It's all about her warped mind,' Olivia Frances-Brown shared, discussing why Jodie thinks that she should be living the life that Shona has. 'Jodie has convinced herself that David symbolises her potential for future happiness.'
'She's lost the plot a little bit and truly believes David is the answer to all her wants and needs – which obviously isn't reality! She's just completely hooked on that idea now.'
