The Celebrity Traitors returns for its second series on Thursday, October 1 at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The first episode will be extended, running until 9:15pm.
Twenty-one famous faces will head to the Scottish Highlands for another round of deception, betrayal and mind games. The celebrities will stay at Ardross Castle as they compete to win up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.
How the game works
Most contestants will play as Faithfuls, while a select few will be secretly picked by host Claudia Winkleman to become Traitors. The Faithfuls must work out who is lying among them and banish the Traitors before they are eliminated themselves. Meanwhile, the Traitors will secretly 'murder' contestants in the hope of making it to the end of the game undetected.
Episode schedule and cast
New episodes will air every Thursday and Friday at 8pm. This season has ten episodes, one more than the nine that aired for season one. The series finale will air on Friday, October 30, when viewers will see who is crowned this year's winner.

Traitors reveal and spin-offs
Who will be chosen as Traitors will be revealed as the first episode gets underway. Last series saw Alan Carr win as a Traitor, making it to the end despite his poker face and near misses.
Ed Gamble will host The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked on BBC One after each main episode, speaking to the celebrities who have left the game. The eliminated celebrities will be given an envelope containing the names of the Traitors. A new programme, Claudia Decides, will explore how Claudia Winkleman chooses which celebrities become Traitors and which become Faithfuls, available on BBC iPlayer after the first episode.
