Celebrity Hunted fans rage at public snitching

Celebrity Hunted returned to screens on Tuesday, August 4, and viewers were left furious after members of the public assisted the hunters in tracking down the celebrities.

Celebrities on the run

The episode featured Amy Dowden and Carlos Gu from Strictly Come Dancing, property experts Scarlette Douglas and her brother Stuart, and comedians Jen Brister and Laura Smyth, all attempting to evade the skilled hunters.

Things took a dramatic turn when Amy and Carlos narrowly escaped the trained investigators. Despite being on the run, the BBC stars decided to attend fellow Strictly icon Craig Revel Horwood's birthday party.

Viewers' anger at public informants

After learning of their whereabouts, the hunters interrupted the celebrations. Security informed Craig, who then warned Amy and Carlos. The pair fled through a muddy lake, wearing waders, and managed to get a lift from Amy's husband, Ben.

While some viewers were impressed by their escape, many were enraged that onlookers had told the hunters how the celebrities got away. On X/Twitter, one user fumed: "Really get annoyed at the public snitching on Celeb Hunted." Another echoed: "That lady is such an informant. What’s her problem?"
