Mickey C. Lee, known for appearing on Season 27 of Big Brother in 2025, died on Christmas Day at the age of 35. Her family confirmed the news on Instagram, following earlier reports that she had suffered multiple cardiac arrests.
On 23 December, the Lee family launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist with medical costs. The page revealed that after multiple cardiac arrests, Lee was in intensive care in a critical but stable condition. The fundraiser reached £31,605 (80% of its goal) by the time of reporting.
On Christmas Day, the family posted a heartfelt tribute: 'With profound sadness, the family of Mickey Lee announces her transition on Christmas in the early evening. Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on Big Brother... She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many.' They requested privacy and said her 'light, legacy, and impact will never be forgotten.'
Host Julie Chen shared a tribute on Instagram, recalling that Lee was born with a hole in her heart and survived an ATV accident. Chen wrote: 'Two months ago I interviewed Mickey Lee on God 101. That’s when she revealed to me that she was born with a hole in her heart... Last night God brought her home. Rest In Peace dear Mickey.'
Former contestants also expressed their grief. Elena Davies called it 'an incredible loss', while Rachel Reilly said she was 'beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know her'. Tiffany Mitchell posted: 'Rest peacefully babygirl. Life is short, tomorrow is not promised.'
