Big Brother's Holly Young Breaks Silence on Steamy House Romance with Colin Ridley
Big Brother's Holly Young reveals details of house romance

Evicted Big Brother Australia contestant Holly Young has finally spoken out about the much-discussed, steamy relationship that blossomed between her and fellow housemate Colin Ridley during their time in the famous house.

The Truth About the 'Steamy' Romance

In a candid interview on Nova's The Chrissie Swan Show, the 31-year-old TV personality addressed the intense connection viewers witnessed. She admitted to the palpable chemistry but was keen to set the record straight on how far things actually went. When asked by host Jack Charles about the awkwardness of hooking up in a shared bedroom, Holly revealed it was all about the tension.

"You know what the amazing thing about that is? The tension that you can build," Holly explained. She then delivered a clear statement: "So yeah, we haven't crossed that line – not even close. There was nothing past the kiss." Emphasising their respect for the show and themselves, she added, "It's within Big Brother's house – we're not going to disrespect ourselves or him like that."

Escape from the 'B****iness': Holly's Diary Room Refuge

On a more personal note, Holly opened up about her emotional experience in the house, explaining her frequent retreats to the diary room. The model confessed she dislikes crying publicly and used the private space as a sanctuary.

"I don't like to cry on demand. I don't like to cry, you know, when it benefits me or when it doesn't," she said. "I go into the diary room to have my time away from all of the b****iness." This insight offered a glimpse into the pressures of life under constant surveillance, beyond the on-screen romance.

An Emotional Exit and a Final Gesture

Holly's journey came to an end during Sunday's elimination, where she was booted from the house via a public vote. Her departure was marked by plenty of tears and emotional goodbyes to her housemates.

In her exit interview with host Mel Tracina, she acknowledged the "unforgettable experience" and the special connection that formed. "Something very, very, very special has come out of it, and I think you guys all know what that is," she gushed, visibly shaking. She wished Colin, 21, "all the very best."

As a final act of solidarity, Holly named Colin as the final Head Housemate, securing his safety from the next round of nominations. She described her five-week stint as "one hell of a ride," expressing pride at making it as far as she did.

Meanwhile, the house dynamics continue to shift. Bruce, Conor and Vinnie remain after facing eviction, while Abiola chose to leave voluntarily after winning $15,000 in a money challenge, despite not being nominated.
