ITV Big Brother fans believe they have spotted a banned item in the house after noticing Lynx wearing what looks like a watch on his wrist. Viewers have taken to social media to question whether the rules have changed, with some suggesting the item may actually be a bracelet designed to resemble a watch.
House of Nothing challenges
Housemates are currently taking part in this week's House of Nothing, where they have been stripped of everything, including luxury foods, clothes and even the furniture. They have been competing in various challenges to win back their belongings one by one, but tensions are rising as some housemates are pushed to their limits.
This week, Rochelle has been seen struggling with the lack of cleaning, while Yasmin was in tears, admitting she has "had enough". Frankie was also issued a warning by Big Brother after breaking the ITV set in an attempt to get his toothbrush back.
Strict rules on timekeeping
The Big Brother house has strict rules, including no contact with the outside world. Housemates are also banned from having writing materials such as diaries, as well as books, magazines and branded clothing. Mobile phones are also prohibited.
Over the years, it has been said that housemates could not know the time, suggesting clocks are also not allowed, similar to the rules on Love Island. This has led to confusion among viewers who saw Lynx wearing what appeared to be a watch.
Viewers question the rule
Taking to Facebook, one person shared a screengrab of Lynx and wrote: "I've been watching bb since the first ever series. Are they allowed to wear watches? Only just noticed that lynx is wearing one but no one else. You don't see clocks. The only time I've seen is on the cooker once."
One reply suggested: "It might be the same as love island where they have allowed him to wear it but they have changed the time on it so its an incorrect time (assume he wanted to bring it in for sentimental reasons). Same for the cooker clock - they've probably changed it to a false time."
Another wrote: "I don't think there's any hands on it. Could be sentimental reasons", while a third wondered: "I never got that rule when the time is on the cooker anyway. What's so bad about knowing the time? If it's to do with tasks just instruct housemates to put their watches in the hatch."
