Big Brother viewers have been left asking 'what is going on?' after spotting a housemate seemingly 'lying' about his life in the real world.
The ITV cast have been living in the House of Nothing this week, which means they have been stripped of everyday luxuries like furniture and their personal clothes. The challenge has already led to emotional outbursts in the house including a brutal row between Johanne and Rochelle.
Frankie's emotional confession
Frankie has also been struggling with adjusting to living in the 'new' house and finally opened up to Big Brother in Tuesday's (September 29) episode. When asked why he has been feeling down, Frankie said: "I sit there worrying about my girlfriend. Worrying about nan and my family. My father. You know what I mean?
"I have a lot of worries about the outside world in here. I mean look, I came on here to obviously come out and say I'm bisexual and stuff. It was a big thing for me, especially at the time."
He added: "My girlfriend was very good about it. And we do have a very, very strong bond. I mean I've been with my girlfriend for probably about four to five years now. There was nothing really about it. She didn't really care to be honest. She didn't really care. if I'm honest with you."
Fans spot contradiction
ITV viewers have been following the new series for three weeks now, and it seems like nothing gets past them. Fans quickly noted that Frankie previously claimed he had broken up with his girlfriend before entering the Big Brother house.
In an earlier episode, he revealed to former housemate Tays that he had been close with his ex partner just before joining the show, and revealed they broke up "for personal reasons".
So viewers at home have been left baffled by the housemate's more recent admission that he is still in a relationship. One fan posted online: "wait, no shade coz I love Frankie but didn't he call his gf his ex gf during episode one?? or am I making that up Imk !! #bbuk."
Another surprised viewer shared: "See I thought I was misremembering I was confused why he said he missed his gf could be that they're on and off or smth idk how they can be on in the house tho." While a third viewer chimed in: "I thought Frankie and his gf split what is going on."
Reactions and explanations
And someone else posted: "Frankie has a girlfriend??? I thought they split up??? Eh? #bigbrother." Others have even branded the 23-year-old as a "gameplayer" and "liar," claiming he unintetionally forgot his own fib.
But some watchers think there could be a reasonable explanation for the mix-up. Some have argued that he is talking about two different women, while others think Frankie could have an on-and-off relationship on the outside world.
"Frankie has an ex girlfriend, and a current girlfriend. it's not f*** rocket science," said one. A second fan added: "Sounds like it's [their relationship] complicated."
