The BBC has teased the stars taking part in the new celebrity series of Race Across The World, sending fans into a frenzy with a series of animal-covered images.
Four famous pairs are set to take on the adventure of a lifetime for the fourth series of the celebrity spin-off. They will follow in the footsteps of Roman Kemp and his sister Harleymoon, who won last year, beating Strictly stars Tyler West and Molly Rainford, actor Dylan Llewellyn and his mum Jakcie, and presenter Anita Rani with her dad Bal.
Animal photobombs spark guesses
The BBC has now teased a series of images showing the mystery celebrities blocked out by animals as they appear to be in a jungle setting. The broadcaster wrote: "3, 2, 1... say 'RACE'! Can you guess which #CelebrityRaceAcrossTheWorld contestants are being photobombed by these cheeky animals?"
The announcement went on: "Celebrity Race Across The World: Familiar faces, numerous countries, zero VIP treatment. With no phones or flights allowed, famous family & friends pairs take on a race across the world - by any means necessary."
Fans predict the lineup
Fans are already predicting which stars they can see, with one writing: "I only know Sam Ryder & Junior & Princess Andre." Someone else said: "SAM RYDER SPOTTED." Another said: "Slide 3 is 100% @officialjunior_andre and @princess_andre." Another agreed: "Junior and Princess will be amazing."
The Sun had previously revealed that Sky Sports legend Jeff Stelling would be taking part with his son Matt, as well as singer Ella Eyre. Speaking about Eurovision star Sam and Came Here For Love singer Ella, a source said: "Sam loves a challenge and he wanted to test his mettle off stage. He signed up with his tour manager Kaz Coles.
"Ella also decided to give Celebrity Race Across The World a go after being tapped up by the casting team. A challenge like this is definitely not in Ella's comfort zone but she wanted to experience something new and push herself."
What to expect next
The source added: "Both Sam and Ella are competitive and they're in it to win it. They filmed the show earlier this year but their fans will have to wait until it airs before they can see who did the best."
Meanwhile, the civilian series of Race Across The World aired earlier this year, and saw best friends Jo and Kush win £20,000 after trekking across eight countries from Sicily, Italy, to Hatgal, Mongolia. Father and daughter Andrew and Molly came in second place, just three hours behind the winners. They were followed by siblings Katie and Harrison, while in-laws Mark and Margo came in fourth place.
