Young Ella Lennon had written a Mother's Day card for her mum, who passed away in December, and was delighted to receive a reply from a Royal Mail staff member.
Chris Evans, 53, described the story as 'the most heart-warming tale of the year' before handing over to Vassos, who broke down while reading the Despicable Me-themed card. The card read: 'You're one in a minion, Mum.' The reply letter, addressed from '1 Angel Gate, In The Clouds, Heaven', further added to the emotional moment.
The studio was left with 'not a dry eye' as Vassos struggled to compose himself. Chris, a father of four, was deeply touched by the story, which resonated with the entire team. The radio host recently welcomed twins Boo and Walt with his wife Natasha Shishmanian, and has two older children.
