Heart Radio presenter Jonny Meah has announced a new podcast, Keep It Grief, following the death of his mother Betty from breast cancer in 2023. Co-hosted by his close friend Neil Collins, whose fiancée Lottie died suddenly in her sleep the same year, the podcast aims to open up conversations about grief.
Launching on 18 February, the show will feature celebrity guests and listener stories, exploring the many forms grief can take. Meah emphasises the podcast will not be “drenched in sadness” but will offer honest, relatable discussions with a touch of humour.
Meah said: “Grief is something every single one of us experiences at some point, yet we’re still so uncomfortable talking about it. Keep It Grief is about changing that – being honest, being human, and recognising that even in the heaviest moments, connection, openness, discussion and expressing your emotions really matter.”
Collins added that he joined the project because he loves talking about Lottie. “Grief is hard, there is no easy way through it… I want people to know it’s ok to not be ok when you lose someone you love.”
