In a major shake-up for UK breakfast radio, Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely have revealed they are stepping down from their presenting roles on the Kiss Breakfast show. The popular duo, best known as members of the dance troupe Diversity, will host their final show at the end of January 2026.
End of an Era for Morning Listeners
The pair broke the news live on air, marking the end of a five-and-a-half-year tenure that began in 2020. Banjo told listeners, "We have some very big news… there’s no easy way to say this, we are moving on from Kiss Breakfast." He reflected on their time with the station, calling it an "absolute pleasure" and a "privilege" to wake up with the audience each day.
Perri Kiely echoed the sentiment, describing the years as "the most special years of our lives, genuinely." The announcement signals a significant change for the station's flagship morning programme, which has built a loyal following under their energetic and humorous stewardship.
Focus Shifts to Dance and New Projects
The primary reason for their departure is a desire to concentrate on other professional commitments, most notably a major new tour with Diversity. Banjo explicitly mentioned the upcoming schedule, stating, "We’re about to go on our biggest Diversity tour yet and 2026 is going to be really busy."
While excited for the future, both presenters expressed sadness at leaving the radio show. Banjo also joked about the prospect of getting "some lie-ins back," admitting it would feel "a little bit weird to adjust to." Their exit from daily radio paves the way for the next chapter in their careers, which have flourished since Diversity's iconic Britain’s Got Talent win in 2009.
Industry Reaction and What Comes Next
Paul Gerrard, content director at Kiss and Hits Radio, paid tribute to the departing stars. He said, "Huge thanks to Jordan and Perri who have brought all the crazy energy, vibes, and creativity to Kiss Breakfast... making mornings worth waking up for." He confirmed the studio would miss them but wished them well for their future endeavours.
The search for their replacements is now underway, with Kiss set to announce the new hosts of the breakfast show in due course. Beyond radio, Banjo and Kiely remain prominent TV personalities, regularly appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox, with Banjo also having previously participated in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2016.
Their final broadcast at the close of January will conclude a defining era for the station and leave a notable gap in the UK's competitive morning radio landscape.
