Tyson Fury has relocated his family to the Isle of Man after unwanted visitors repeatedly showed up at his former home in Morecambe. The former heavyweight champion, his wife Paris, and their seven children moved to a 200-year-old country manor house in December 2025.
New Home on the Isle of Man
Perched on a hill with views of the countryside near the town of Peel, the property is three storeys of opulence. The house is situated in the middle of expansive woodland and contains six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a study, a cinema room, a gymnasium, a games room, and a sauna.
The Furys had previously lived in a beachfront house in Morecambe for over a decade. But partly because of the number of unwelcome visitors who arrived at his house, he took drastic measures.
Reason for Moving
“When people know where you live, you can be targeted at any time, so now I have moved and my address is confidential,” Fury said. “The final straw was when I had a lunatic come over my gates – 40ft gates. I’ve got an attack dog, I’ve got everything. The police came and he said: ‘I’m here to be adopted by Tyson and Paris’.
“I wasn’t home, I was at the gym and Paris phoned me going nuts. This man could have had a knife or anything on him. At that moment I thought ‘I’m f****d here’. I also had to disconnect my intercom on the gates because it was going all night, every weekend.
“I had crackpots, drunk people, parking outside the front of the house ringing the bell asking ‘is Tyson in’? I’ve had a million nut jobs at my place. One time there was a guy and he was dressed in seashells from head-to-toe, looked like an absolute lunatic. He said ‘God sent me here to speak to you’.”
Why the Isle of Man?
Fury explained: “I looked at moving abroad, far away, but it turned out that the Isle of Man is the perfect place for me – English speaking, English pound notes. I can go and get an English newspaper from the local petrol station with my coffee and speak my own lingo.”
His presence on the Isle has not gone unnoticed. Manx boxer Jade “the Grenade” Burden is thrilled to welcome the Fury family. Speaking via the BBC she said: “I think we should be proud to have him here - he's one of our own now.”
“I think it's going to be inspiring for young kids, and anyone who is into boxing with him being over here as a two-time heavyweight world champion - it's nothing short of inspiring what he has done, and what he has bounced back from.”
He has also been warmly received by locals who have commended him and his family for their polite manner and willingness to converse with residents.
