Newcastle United launch retro away kit with vintage Adidas crest

Newcastle United have unveiled their 2026/27 away kit, which brings back the club crest worn during Kevin Keegan's playing days. The badge, also worn by stars like Peter Beardsley and Chris Waddle in the 1984 promotion-winning team, appears alongside the Adidas trefoil logo.

Design details

The deep 'night navy' V-neck jersey features a graphic of the club's historic castle, celebrating the city's heritage. A vintage Newcastle United crest inspired by the badge from the 70s and 80s adorns the shirt, with a classic Magpie motif on the back of the neck.

Signature Adidas detailing, including the iconic 3-Stripes and Trefoil logo, completes the look. Navy shorts and socks make up the full away kit. The shirt uses Adidas' Climacool technology and quick-drying fabric for comfort on the pitch or in the stands.

Newcastle United full-back and lifelong fan Lewis Hall said: "Growing up as a fan, I know that some of the best memories can come from travelling to matches with friends and family. There’s such a special connection between fans who travel the country to support us. The chance to wear this shirt and represent them on the pitch is always going to be an incredible feeling. This design, especially with the vintage crest, looks very special and I can’t wait to run out in it this season."
