Maya Jama and Ruben Dias' Home Burgled in Cheshire

The multimillion-pound Cheshire residence of television presenter Maya Jama and Manchester City footballer Ruben Dias has been targeted by burglars in a late-night raid. The couple were not present at their Alderley Edge property when the incident occurred, leaving them reportedly "devastated" by the invasion of their home.

Late-Night Intrusion at Celebrity Home

According to Cheshire Police, officers attended the property after reports of a burglary and discovered that entry had been forced. A number of valuable items were stolen during the incident, which took place just after 11pm on Wednesday evening. The force has launched an investigation into the break-in at the couple's luxurious home in the affluent village, which is renowned for housing numerous Premier League footballers and high-profile residents.

Couple Away During Incident

Both Jama and Dias were away from the property when the burglary occurred. The 31-year-old Love Island host was in South Africa filming the All Stars spin-off series, while Portuguese defender Dias had been in Manchester earlier that day for his team's Champions League fixture against Galatasaray. The couple confirmed their relationship publicly in April 2025, having reportedly first met at the MTV Europe Music Awards the previous year.

Football Club Offers Support

Manchester City assistant coach Pepijn Lijnders addressed the situation on Friday, stating that while he hadn't spoken personally with Dias about the incident, the player was expected to return to team training on Monday. "These are the things you don't want to happen," Lijnders commented. "We will support him and let's see how it goes from there." Dias has been a key player for City since joining the club in 2020 and signed a two-year contract extension in August 2025.

High-Profile Careers

Beyond her role hosting Love Island, Maya Jama also serves as a judge on ITV's popular singing competition The Masked Singer, where celebrities perform in elaborate costumes. Last week, she shared with her 3.2 million Instagram followers that she maintains homes in several locations including London, the Cotswolds, and Cheshire. The burglary has highlighted the security concerns facing high-profile individuals living in exclusive areas like Alderley Edge, where property values regularly reach multimillion-pound figures.
