Former American football star Matt Kalil has launched a significant legal action against his ex-wife, Haley Kalil, following deeply personal remarks she made about his anatomy during a public livestream.
The Livestream Allegations and Legal Response
In November 2025, Haley Kalil participated in a livestream with YouTuber Marlon, where she made explicit comments about her former husband's genitalia. She reportedly compared them to "two Coke cans, maybe even a third," and suggested that only "0.01 percent" of men shared a similar physical trait. She also claimed that sexual intercourse with the ex-NFL player would leave her 'in tears'.
In response, Matt Kalil filed a lawsuit in January 2026, which was obtained by media outlet TMZ. The legal documents state that Haley implied "the size of Plaintiff's genitalia was a primary factor in the parties' divorce." Kalil asserts that his ex-wife disclosed "highly intimate and private facts" about their sexual life without his consent.
Fallout and Conflicting Narratives
Kalil's court filing details the severe personal consequences he claims to have suffered. He states that his current wife, model Keilani Asmus, has received "increasingly frequent, disturbing and alarming" online messages as a result. Furthermore, he alleges that his family members have been forced to endure the public circulation of these "degrading" statements, disrupting his attempts to live a private life post-retirement.
However, Haley Kalil has presented a different perspective. In an official statement to The Independent, she expressed shock and hurt at the lawsuit. "I believe the truth is in the original live stream," she stated, adding, "I speak highly of him in multiple ways throughout that conversation." She included quotes from the stream where she called him "the greatest guy in the world" and the "best dude," characterising the litigation as a "harrowing and emotionally draining experience."
Financial Claims and Background
The retired offensive tackle, who played for the Minnesota Vikings, Carolina Panthers, and Houston Texans before retiring in 2019, is seeking $75,000 in damages and has requested a jury trial. His lawsuit suggests Haley financially benefited from the controversy, gaining "increased viewership, engagement, and monetization" after the comments went viral.
The couple married in a lavish 2015 ceremony in Kauai, Hawaii, and divorced in 2022. Matt Kalil later married Keilani Asmus in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Haley Kalil has built a substantial online profile, being named to TIME magazine's TIME100 Creators list last year, which the lawsuit implies adds a commercial dimension to her public statements.
