BBC Radio 1's Charlie Hedges Announces Pregnancy Live On Air, Leaving Greg James Speechless

BBC Radio 1 presenter Charlie Hedges left her co-host Greg James stunned on air yesterday after announcing she is pregnant. The 35-year-old made the surprise revelation during the 'Tell Me Something Good' segment of the popular radio show.

When Greg asked her to share something positive, she replied: "I'm having a baby." After a moment of stunned silence, Greg exclaimed: "You.. What are you talking about?" Charlie repeated the news, prompting Greg to ask if she was joking. She then offered to show him her belly, leading Greg to shout: "Oh my god! What? Charlie! Oh my god! What amazing news!"

Following the on-air announcement, Charlie took to Twitter to share her excitement, writing: "I am so incredibly grateful and excited to be sharing the most beautiful news with you all … I am going to be a new mummy very soon and Baby hedges would like to say hi to you all." Fans quickly flooded the comments with congratulations, with one calling it an "epic reveal" and another saying it was "the best way to announce on-air ever."
