Katie Price appeared before a judge at the Royal Courts of Justice today, hours after being arrested at Heathrow Airport upon her return from Turkey. The 46-year-old former glamour model was taken into custody in front of her eldest son Harvey and spent the night at a west London police station before being bailed.
During the hearing, Judge Schaffer imposed strict conditions for her release, telling Price: 'This is a serious matter. No ifs or buts.' Price, who had no legal representation due to financial difficulties, claimed she 'can't hear properly or see much' and requested to attend future hearings remotely. The judge denied this, stating she must make a formal application.
The arrest followed a warrant issued after Price failed to attend a bankruptcy hearing. Judge Burton described her absence as 'irrelevant' and said she had 'no real excuse.' The court heard that Price had offered only 'piecemeal cooperation' and failed to provide basic financial information. She was ordered to deliver six vehicles, including a pink Range Rover, to the trustee of her bankruptcies to help pay off debts.
Price, who recently underwent a £10,000 facelift in Turkey, wore a protective head wrap in court. Her boyfriend, Married At First Sight star JJ Slater, was also seen arriving back in London. Meanwhile, Price's ex-fiancé Carl Woods appeared to make a dig on Instagram, posting a gym photo with the caption 'pay your dues,' referencing her reported £760,000 tax bill.
Body language expert Judi James commented on Price's court appearance, noting 'elements of confusion' and suggesting that while being in the headlines brings her 'a sense of achievement,' the reality of her situation may leave her 'vulnerable.' Price has reshared a post from Jedward urging kindness, saying she 'deserves support and love.'
