Australian actress Isabel Lucas, best known for her role in Home and Away, has announced she is pregnant with her first child at the age of 40. The news was shared on Instagram on Monday, accompanied by a series of photographs showcasing her baby bump.
In the images, Lucas is seen posing on a beach in black lace underwear and a white throw-over, gently caressing her belly. Another picture shows her in a white top and skirt set, lying on a picnic blanket with flowers. The caption read: 'A new forever exists here. Among petals of silent wonder and pure love.'
The pregnancy has been described as a 'miracle', with Lucas expected to give birth next year, just before she turns 41 in January. The father is American film director and professional surfer Cyrus Sutton, whom Lucas went Instagram official with in August.
Sutton, 43, is an Emmy Award-winning director known for surfing documentaries, including Next Wave: A Tsunami Relief Story (2005). The couple were pictured together in a waterfall setting in Lucas's announcement post. Lucas, who previously dated Chris Hemsworth in 2006, has generally kept her personal life private.
