Authorities in Brazil have concluded their investigation into the tragic death of social media personality Bárbara Jankavski, confirming the 31-year-old died from accidental cocaine use.
The Final Night and Police Investigation
Bárbara Jankavski, who amassed a large following online by documenting her extensive cosmetic surgery journey, was found unresponsive on November 2, 2025. She was discovered in the São Paulo apartment of 51-year-old public defender Renato Campos Pinto de Vitto.
Pinto de Vitto informed police that he had paid Jankavski for sexual services on the evening she died. In his statement, he claimed that both he and the influencer had consumed illegal drugs before going to sleep. He reportedly called emergency services after noticing she was not moving, attempting to assist her for nearly nine minutes before paramedics arrived. Medical personnel confirmed she had already passed away.
Questions and Bruising Found on Body
While the official cause of death aligns with the account given by Pinto de Vitto, the influencer's family have expressed doubts about the findings. The investigation noted that Jankavski was found wearing only her underwear, with bruising on her back and an injury near her left eye.
A friend of Jankavski later told police, as reported by CNN Brasil, that the influencer had tripped and hit her face earlier in the week, potentially explaining the facial injury.
A Life Transformed for Social Media
Bárbara Jankavski, known to her 55,000 Instagram and 344,000 TikTok followers as 'Human Barbie', was famous for her drastic aesthetic transformation. She is said to have undergone 27 plastic surgery procedures in her quest to resemble the iconic doll, with her most recent being a facelift in June 2025.
Her final social media post, shared over a month before her death, featured another creator. She captioned the video: "I would love to meet you, beautiful, full of energy, life and good humour!!!" Following news of her passing, the comment section was flooded with tributes from devastated fans mourning the loss of their "Barbie doll".
