Two paparazzi photographers were spotted outside Archie and Lilibet's school in a fresh security scare for the Sussexes, according to reports. The US media say that the international photographers were seen by the Sussexes' security personnel nearby the children's new school.
Vehicle number plate recorded
According to Newsweek, Prince Harry and Meghan's security recorded the number plate of the vehicle the photographers were using, but it was a rental. The incident reportedly took place on Monday and will have sparked further security concerns for the Duke and Duchess.
Following their return to the UK, Harry and Meghan have expressed their worries regarding security. The fears saw them pull Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet from their original new school as the convoy of cars en route got split up in the rush hour traffic.
Home Office review ongoing
The Home Office are continuing to carry out a review into whether the family should be granted taxpayer-funded security. It is believed to be something Harry has attempted to gain on several occasions after he lost it in 2020 when he made the decision to step back from royal duties.
The photographs believed to have been snapped by the photographers have not been published by any British media.
Earl Spencer's comparison
Speaking about his nephew recently, Earl Spencer likened the treatment of Harry and Meghan to that of his late sister, Diana. He told CNN: "The general conduct of the press, you know, even the worst editors at the time who were paying the paparazzi to pursue Diana even into that final tunnel in Paris, they learned something years later.
"And some of them have actually confessed, they know they had a hand in her death. Now, that's quite a big thing to live with and I think it did change the behavior, and it's not as bad now."
However, he did also urge that Harry and Meghan should be granted security. The Express have contacted the Sussexes spokesperson for comment.
