Former Love Island star Georgia Harrison has robustly defended herself against online trolls who accused her of digitally altering recent holiday photos, all while navigating the challenges of new motherhood and a postpartum health scare.
Clapping Back at the Critics
On Wednesday, the 31-year-old reality TV personality shared a stunning mirror selfie on Instagram from her sun-soaked getaway in Dubai. Georgia showcased her figure in a stylish burgundy halterneck bikini, completing the look with her blonde hair in a messy bun and trendy black sunglasses.
This glamorous snap followed a wave of negative comments on her previous family holiday photos, where she wore a cut-out brown bikini paired with crocheted trousers. Critics rushed to suggest she had used editing software to alter her stomach.
"A lot of the photos actually look airbrushed," one commenter wrote, while another pointed out, "There’s a blur on every pic near the stomach area."
A Firm Denial and Explanation
Georgia did not hesitate to address the accusations directly. She firmly denied any manipulation of the images, attributing the look to her camera equipment. "I haven’t edited any of these photos," she replied. "I took them on my gx7 which makes them an airbrushed look and a few of them had a blur in the same place presumably from a blur on the lens."
Motherhood and Health Struggles
The social media drama unfolds against a backdrop of significant personal milestones and challenges for Georgia. She and her boyfriend, Jack Stacey, welcomed their first child, daughter Sahara Jean Stacey, on 30th October 2025.
Just weeks after the birth, Georgia revealed she was hospitalised with a "nasty infection" at the same hospital where Sahara was born. She shared a gallery of images, including one from an ambulance, to update followers, reassuring them she was "on the road to recovery" and looking forward to her first Christmas as a family.
Her journey as a new mum has also seen her face 'mum-shaming' online. After sharing a TikTok video featuring baby hacks, she was criticised for suggesting the use of puppy training pads in places like the bassinet to protect against accidents.
Commenters warned the pads contained chemicals unsuitable for a baby's skin. Georgia responded with grace, stating, "Guys it's all good I'm a new mum so I'm still learning too... I'll grab the baby ones from Lidl later for contact use."
Despite the online noise, Georgia continues to share her life as a new mother, from sweet snaps cradling Sahara to celebrating their first holiday together in Dubai, proving her focus remains firmly on her family.
