Alexandra Censori, the mother of Kanye West's wife Bianca, proved her own flair for glamour during a stylish outing in Melbourne this week. The matriarch was spotted enjoying a luxurious lunch with two of her other daughters, Alyssia and Angelina, at the upscale city restaurant Gimlet.
A Family Affair in Fashionable Melbourne
On Tuesday, Alexandra Censori stepped out with her daughters and a group of friends, turning heads at the renowned dining hotspot. Alexandra herself made a striking impression in a head-to-toe white outfit, featuring a cropped jacket and a mini skirt crafted from a textured fabric. Her look was polished with retro cat-eye sunglasses, towering white heels accented with black piping, and a selection of delicate gold jewellery.
She wore her blonde hair straight and down, complementing it with a rosy makeup palette and a nude pink lipstick. Her daughters also showcased their individual styles for the occasion. Angelina opted for a sleek, sleeveless black dress that hugged her figure, paired with matching flip-flops and a warm-toned, peachy makeup look, her dark hair in soft waves.
Alyssia chose a more daring ensemble, wearing a bold blue halter-neck gown. She accessorised with cream heels, a pink designer shoulder bag, and a dainty silver necklace and earrings.
The Censori Family's Complex Background
This glamorous public appearance comes against the backdrop of the Censori family's well-documented and controversial history. It was previously revealed that Bianca Censori is connected to what has been described as Australian 'mob royalty'.
Her father, Elia 'Leo' Censori, served a prison sentence after being convicted in 1982 on charges of possessing a prohibited import, specifically heroin. He was sentenced to five years, with a minimum of three years to serve. Leo is also the brother of Eris Censori, a notorious gangland figure once dubbed 'Melbourne's Al Capone'. Eris was sentenced to death in Western Australia for murder, a sentence later commuted to life imprisonment. The death penalty was abolished in that state in 1984.
The family's legal troubles extend further. Leo Censori also has convictions for possession of a pistol and ammunition. His eldest brother, Edmondo or 'Eddie Capone', has a criminal record in Victoria for offences including violence, assaulting police, theft, and making threats.
A Life in Leafy Suburbs and a Marked Past
In 1991, Leo's former wife, Faye Glascott, provided insights into his past criminal enterprises. She told journalists that Leo had been involved in a cartel controlling a significant portion of Melbourne's illegal gambling industry during the 1980s, describing him as a "heavy criminal figure". Veteran crime reporter John Silvester, who co-wrote the Underbelly series, later revealed that Bianca's father had been marked for death during the 1990s.
Despite this history, the Censoris have maintained a residence in the affluent Melbourne suburb of Alphington. It is believed Bianca grew up in the well-heeled area of Ivanhoe and later lived in the family's $2.8 million Alphington home, where her parents still reside. When approached by the Daily Mail previously about her husband's criminal past, Alexandra Censori declined to comment.
The family's latest public outing presents a picture of contemporary luxury and style, a stark contrast to the darker chapters of their history that continue to draw public fascination, particularly in light of Bianca's high-profile marriage to rapper Kanye West.
