Ariana Grande Slams Trump Over Anti-Trans Video

Ariana Grande has criticised US President Donald Trump for using her song We Can’t Be Friends in an anti-trans video posted on TikTok by Team Trump on Thursday. The clip showed the president walking toward the stage at a political rally with overlaid text reading, "Me and my truth we sit in silence... men can't have babies and should never compete in women's sports."

Singer's Stern Warning

Grande, who was tagged in the post’s caption, responded with a warning in the comments section: "Never use my music again. Also, your truth is false." The audio to her 2024 single We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love) has since been removed from the post.

This is the second time the popstar has criticised Trump. He previously used her 2024 track Bye in a TikTok video depicting ICE agents conducting arrests, captioned: "Bye-bye. President Trump has delivered the most secure border in history."

Previous Criticism

Ariana, currently on tour in the UK, hit back then: "Please do not ever use my music in relation to this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense. F*** ICE." She has frequently criticised the Trump administration's policies and wore an ICE Out pin at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.

Fans rallied behind her latest action, with comments ranging from "ARI GET HIM" to "I really hope she sues u."

UK Tour Return

Grande recently kicked off the UK leg of her Eternal Sunshine Tour at The O2 in London, her first UK concerts in seven years, with ten sold-out shows. Fans arrived in bunny ears, glitter, masks, gloves and fishnet tights, while Ariana performed hits including 7 Rings, Thank U, Next, Dangerous Woman, Into You and One Last Time, alongside tracks from her latest album Petal.

The emotional return comes as Ariana prepares to step back from public life once the residency ends.
