Caroline Peaty, mother of Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, has broken her silence after being excluded from the hen party of his fiancée Holly Ramsay. In an Instagram post, she wrote: 'The ones I love are the people that hurt me the most,' following reports that she was not invited to the star-studded celebration at Soho Farmhouse.
The hen party, attended by Holly's mother Tana, family friend Victoria Beckham, and Adam's sister, took place while Caroline was reportedly at home caring for Adam's five-year-old son from a previous relationship. The snub has sparked a family feud weeks before the couple's wedding.
Adam's aunt, Louise Williams, publicly criticised Holly in an Instagram post, accusing her of being 'divisive and hurtful' and stating that Caroline had 'opened her home and heart to you.' The post is said to have upset Holly and angered Adam, who now reportedly wants to cut ties with his family.
Caroline, 59, has been a key figure in Adam's career, waking at 4am to drive him to training sessions and even going into debt to support his swimming. Adam, 30, is considered the greatest breaststroke swimmer in history, with three Olympic gold medals.
