Widow, 55, Finds Love with Man 26 Years Younger

A 55-year-old widow has discovered love once more with a man 26 years younger after he reached out to her on TikTok, and she is now preparing to relocate 550 miles to Jamaica to be with him.

How the Couple Met

Kimberley Hurst, 55, first connected with Jevor Hardware, 29, on the social media platform TikTok in April 2025. The two initially exchanged messages as friends. During this time, Kimberley’s husband was battling cancer, a fight he lost in June 2025. After her bereavement, Jevor contacted Kimberley to check on her well-being. Kimberley admits she initially thought he was a player.

To recover from her loss, Kimberley decided to travel to Jamaica for a break, playfully suggesting that Jevor could act as her tour guide. He accepted the invitation, picked her up from the airport, and the two developed feelings for each other during the week they spent together. Jevor taught her how to twerk and took her snorkeling.

Relationship Milestones

The couple officially began their relationship on August 4, 2025. Since then, Kimberley has been traveling to Jamaica every six weeks to see her partner. She now plans to relocate there permanently by the end of 2026. Despite facing criticism online about their 17-year age gap, Kimberley says they do not let it affect them.

Kimberley, a security complaints manager from Tampa, Florida, said: “Believe it or not, we call each other and read the comments back and forth and laugh. A lot of people talk about a green card or say he uses me. The most important part is we don’t allow it to affect our relationship.”

She added: “It really affects our family and friends, and we’ve acknowledged everyone has a right to an opinion, but not everyone has an insight into our life. I can’t lie, at the beginning it was hard to read the comments, and they were really harsh. I can say that you can take it one or two ways – by crying or taking it and running in a way to teach people it is OK to be in an age gap relationship because if you love and treat with respect, your eyes are open and you don’t accept anything less from that person.”

Meeting in Person

Kimberley first met Jevor during a TikTok live stream, and the two became friends. Before her trip to Jamaica, they had only communicated via video chat. “A few days before I went to Jamaica we were talking over video chat, he’d never seen me and I’d never seen him,” Kimberley said. “He picked me up at the airport. It was crazy, there was an instant attraction, and the chemistry was all there. He took me to the village to meet his family, and I was shocked. I met his dad, brother, sister, and cousins; he was taking stuff seriously. That week I said, ‘I’m telling you right now I’m a one man kind of girl, you need to make a choice now.'”

Family and Future Plans

Kimberley revealed that everyone was surprised when she entered a new romance after her loss, but she firmly believes it is her life and her choice. She admitted that she was not happy for much of her previous relationship. The pair began a serious relationship in August 2025, and Kimberley returned to Jamaica a month later to stay at Jevor’s home. “He was cooking for me, pampering me, and giving me foot massages,” she said. “From the moment we met until now he’s been consistent and never changed. We call each other every morning. On Valentine’s weekend we both agreed I would move to Jamaica rather than him coming to the US.”

Jevor, a dancehall artist who performs under the name Tappest Official, has written songs about Kimberley and included her in his music videos. “There’s a song called ‘She Loves Me’ that he wrote for me, and I featured in that music video,” Kimberley said. “That was huge. I’ve never seen a big artist singing to their wives and have them perform in videos with them. He’s really making a point of me being in all aspects of his life.”

Jevor said: “She is my everything. I love everything about her. When we first met we got a lot of judgement about the age gap, but it’s not stopped nothing from going on, because she is who I choose. She’s my lady, so I put my lady into everything I do, including my music.”

Kimberley is hoping to relocate to Jamaica by the end of 2026.
